I have noticed in Zoom meetings all the profile pics looks the same size when someone is screen sharing, but once screen sharing stops and the center of the screen gets populated with profile pics, half of the pics look like small tiles surrounded by a black box. The other half are full sized.

Mine is one of the ones that always appears tiny in no-screen-share mode. My profile pic is x so I do not think the resolution is the problem. I can’t find any settings that affect this appearance issue. Those whose pics show full size always show full size, those who show up as tiles always show up as tiles.

Does anyone know the secret to getting my profile pic to show up in zoom without it getting shrunk down to a tile? Hi bigteksthank you for your contribution to the Zoom community! We are so happy to have you here. Our experts will get back to you with a response, but in the meantime, we encourage fellow community members to also share their knowledge on this topic!

The behaviour you are describing is not expected, there is no specific settings to change the profile picture why is my zoom profile picture blurry – why is my zoom profile picture blurry: when video is off.

It should stay the same across the meeting before and after screen sharing. Could you please check if you are running the latest version of the Zoom client? If not, you can download it from zoom. I have upgraded to the most recent Zoom – Version 5. Here is an example of the problem attached. The profile pics circled in green are showing full size as expected. The profile pics circled in red are showing reduced size.

The rest of the participants have their cameras on. Could you please confirm if everyone in the meeting was seeing the two red participants with small profile picture? Or was only your gallery view affected? Thank you bigteks for answering my question. Can you just confirm if this behaviour shows if and only if a participant shares the screen and then stops sharing? Are the small pictures persisting if you try to switch to active speaker view and then back to gallery view?

What appears to happen for the smaller pics is there is no scaling applied to them in any view. They are always in a black framing box and only the framing box is scaling. In active speaker view the framing box is much smaller and the presence of the framing box around the pic is not so noticeable. In gallery view the framing box scales up but the pic does not, so it looks odd at that point, swallowed by the bigger box.

The behavior is the same always. It does not require anyone to start by screen sharing in order for this to occur. Hi bigteks sorry for the delay, I was sure I had replied but I can’t see my last message. My suggestion is to try with one of your friends in the meeting that is not having issues the ones circled in green to test the same profile image.

The main suspect here is the specific image you are using because there are no other factors in Zoom that could resize it. If the picture shows small in both participants, then we can conclude it’s the image.

Otherwise, the next step would be to test a different device. Did not work for me I’m in the same boat. How to Blur Zoom Background (Step-by-Step Guide + FAQs).

The best solution to rest your device is to restart it, wait a while and use it again. If you experience video blur or lag, try checking other devices that are currently connected to the same internet source as you. Maybe your internet slowness is caused by too much internet sharing bandwidth. Other devices are watching streaming with 4K quality, of course this will consume your internet resources, and your device will experience slow internet. Make sure other devices are not using a lot of internet, so you can zoom the conference video smoothly.

One of the annoying things when using Zoom is that the meeting or learning time will start immediately, but when you open Zoom, this application actually forces close or always exits by itself continuously.

This warning is actually related to the age restrictions imposed by Zoom. This application limits its users to a minimum age of 16 years. For those who still appear this kind of warning, usually registrants who sign-in directly from Google or Facebook accounts. The reason is that creating a Google account only requires a minimum age of 13 years.

To fix this, please delete the old Zoom account, then create a new Zoom account with the adjusted age. The activation email will come. While most activation emails are sent within seconds, some may take up to 30 minutes to get to your inbox. You just need to calm down. If your Zoom account is managed by your company and you do not receive an activation email after 30 minutes, the administrator must whitelist the email no-reply zoom. Surely this Zoom application problem will be resolved.

Chances are you joined the meeting using a browser, not the Zoom app specifically. While Zoom works in the browser, the web-based version is very limited compared to the app. To fix these Zoom app issues and gain access to all the features Zoom has to offer, download the Zoom app on your device and always use it to host a meeting or join it.

Here is the Zoom download link. You can also select the Join audio option instead of the button. If you clicked the button before joining, but no one can hear you speak, your microphone may be problematic. Usually, the mic icon in the lower left corner is still in strikethrough position. Just click the icon to reactivate. The same Zoom app issue applies to the camera as well. If an error message appears saying that the video cannot start, the problem is with the settings of the computer or phone where Zoom is installed.

To fix this Zoom issue on Windows 10, go to camera settings and make sure the toggle under the Allow apps to access your camera section is on. If you have multiple cameras such as your laptop and separate webcams , microphones, or speaker systems such as speakers and headphones , make sure you choose the right settings. Go to Settings in Zoom and then Video or Audio to select the right device. Zoombombing is a Zoom application issue in the security sector that its developers are trying to address.

This happens when another user suddenly logs in and joins one of your meetings. It sends spam and so on which essentially annoys you. The first is to update the Zoom app to the latest version.

Recently Zoom has improved security to prevent Zoombombing from showing up again. In addition, all participants are placed in the waiting room first and can then join the meeting when the host lets them in. These fixes made by Zoom are quite effective, but there are still some additional security measures you should keep in mind to prevent Zoombombing.

The main thing is not to share your Zoom meeting ID publicly on the internet. Another method is to lock the meeting after all participants have joined.

This means that no one will be able to join your meeting again, even if they have the meeting ID and password. This can be done by clicking the Participants tab and then selecting the More option located at the bottom of the section that appears on the right side. Several options will appear. Then you have to click on Lock Meeting. To anticipate this, the host certainly plays a big role.

If the above method is not done, of course this host can delete the illegal participant earlier. It is highly recommended that you disable the option that allows deleted users to re-enter the meeting.

Almost all meeting participants have different conditions. Not everyone is silent in the room. Even when he is alone, his squeaking noises interfere with the whole meeting because it makes a lot of noise when done by many people. To work around this issue, the host can mute all participants on login.

This means that everyone will mute their microphone by default as soon as they join the meeting, which will prevent this possible noise. You will also see a Mute All button after clicking Participants which can be used during the meeting if people are muting themselves and background noise is getting annoying. One limitation is that your meeting can only last a maximum of 40 minutes. After that, the system will remove all participants and the meeting ends.

Another limitation is that you cannot record to the cloud. This means sharing footage with your team will be more time consuming. Because it requires connection with third-party applications that take time. Before you start a zoom meeting, make sure you check the microphone connection with your computer or laptop.

Do a test on the features provided by Zoom. You can sing, whistle and listen to your whistle, meaning your microphone is working normally. The problem that most often occurs when Zoom Meeting is noise from other users.

This could be due to the location and the strong wind or he was in a crowded place. If you experience this, it means that you are too close to other users, so you hear the echo of the voice over and over again. What causes this is the speaker sound is too loud. So the best solution is to use earphones or a headset. By default, the HD Video setting on Zoom is not activated when you first install it. But you can activate HD video zoom with the following steps:.
